“It's grim up north” is a phrase that suggests the north of England has a lower standard of living than the south. The phrase is based on the region's history of heavy industry, colder weather, and rugged landscape.
Orrrrr, it's a phrase that can be used slightly tongue in cheek to highlight the fact that it's a whole lot more beautiful 'ooop north', and that we're harder than our southern friends. We could go on, but we'll leave it there.
Based mainly on old school vintage flag designs, each of our pennants are hand made individually from recycled polyester. They come complete with nickel plated holes in all four corners to complete the authentic vintage look, but we prefer to stick them up using the double sided adhesive pads provided. These are ideal to hang up in any home and suit all decor's. They can be moved from one place to another easily without the hassle of drilling and screwing of a framed print, and they look so much more unique! Adding to the uniqueness is the fact that only a very limited amount of each pennant will be made. Each piece will be numbered.
